Main Responsibilities Solar sales representative's duties and responsibilities include the folowing
Sales & Marketing
Ensure that you are well conversant and knowledgeable with all our product range, sizing, pricing, availability etc.
Meet and exceed agreed monthly sales targets for both battery and solar products as set out by the Country Manager.
Proactively identify and secure new business, developing new regions, ensuring retention of the same.
Tracking of lost business (customers) and starting afresh, within timely service recovery.
Constantly seek to improve the level of retail customer service and effectiveness at our dealers’ shops and outlets through trainings and workshops.
Ensure dealers have relevant battery tools – chargers, testers, hydrometers etc., advising them on proper usage and application
Updating customers on new products, pricing, special offers and services available, through weekly visits, phone calls and/or emails.
Ensure compliance of all Customer Service Standards.
Attend to all customers’ requirements and/or complaints effectively, giving feedback with minimal delays.
Ensure a good client/company relationship is maintained at all times through regular visits, give-aways and/or promotions, lunch/dinner entertainment as guided by the company policy.
Operate very strictly within the company’s credit policies for which you are expected to be completely familiar with.
Ensure that all customers receive their monthly statement of accounts and capturing any doubtful debts, referring the same to the Country Manager for immediate action.
Present monthly sales reports to your Manager and update the Management on market trends and competitors activities, ensuring we are ahead of the competition.
Maintain high standards of self and work discipline, co-ordinate your activities well with both your superior and workmates, while observing good interpersonal relationship.
Participating in any other duties that shall be reasonably assigned by management
Technical background preferably degree in electrical engineering
Computing skills knowledge – word, excel and power point
Ready to be based in Mwanza
Flexible and ready to travel around the lakezone
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
Valid driving license
Unquestionable levels of integrity
At least 2 years’ experience in solar sales
Experience in generating sales
