Our client is a renowned name in the FMCG industry who offers a rewarding career is looking to hire seasoned sales professionals who will join them as a Country Manager. As the Country Manager it will be your responsibility to own the sales strategy, execute distribution plans and find new routes to market. The successful candidate will transition in to taking full control of the Tanzania commercial business. You will set out and drive the sales targets and strategy for the business, overseeing the current business but looking at areas of growth as well as getting the team to drive for better results and stretch the targets set out in front of them. They will guide this group of people with setting out the vision and strategy and very much leading from the front in terms of sales, operational and executional excellence. Asses the Sales & Distribution System on regular basis with liaise with fleet maintenance to ensure the best allocation/utilization of the fleet in order to optimize product stock rotation Lastly, you will oversee sales forecasts and sales strategy, performance management, product pricing & price compliance, proposing and directing the execution of programs to maximize sales volume potential to achieve Plan.
The Successful Applicant
Must have Proven track record in FMCG / Beverage business with a focus on Traditional Trade & Direct Distribution of which at least 7 years at senior management level At least 12 - 15 years’ overall experience in a FMCG of substantial size and turnover.
Financial Acumen and Numerical ability should be very strong.
Excellent Sales Skills with a Demonstrated track record of Sales achievements.
Good customer relationships.
Aggressively competitive and achievement oriented.
A demonstrated commitment towards building relations and managing strong subordinates.
Leadership skills: An ability to motivate, mentor and monitor the sales team.
